Residential plumbing issues can range from seemingly minor problems to major emergencies that can’t wait to be fixed. Most of the time we take our sinks, toilets, showers and appliances for granted, so when there is an issue it can be extremely frustrating. As experts in plumbing and customer service, we have extensive knowledge of pipe systems and their components and can help you solve your plumbing issues quickly and efficiently. We will work with you to diagnose problems, troubleshoot systems, and collaborate with other contractors when required—whatever is required to get the job done right.
Common Plumbing Issues:
- Clogged bath, sink or shower drains
- Clogged or running toilets
- Leaky faucets
- Leaky pipes
- Water heater issues
- Broken or burst pipes
- Dripping faucets
- Slow draining sinks or showers
- Low water pressure
Why does my drain get clogged?
In most cases drains get clogged because something that should not go in the drain has been put there, although drains can also get clogged due to build-up from residues from like soap and hair.
Is it safe to use chemical drain cleaners?
Drain cleaners are not great for your plumbing systems. Not only can they be unsafe to plumbers while drain cleaning, these cleaners can also be harmful to children or pets if they are not stored properly. These toxic chemicals are also (ironically) very bad for your pipes, causing them to deteriorate from the inside out. Also, if a chemical drain cleaner is not properly flushed out of the drainage system they can solidify, causing the reverse effect of what the cleaner was initially intended to do (aka clogging your pipes).
Do I need to clean my drains regularly?
Your drains should always be “empty” if you (or any small humans in your home) don’t put anything down the drain that shouldn’t go in a drain. Regular household use of water should keep your drains clean. If there is a bad smell come out of the drains, try dumping a bit of bleach down and let is sit for a bit. Then flush the drain thoroughly. If you’re having draining issues, it’s more than likely time to call in the professionals.
What did Albert Einstein have to do with plumbing?
We’re so glad you asked. Did you know that Einstein once declared that if he could do it all over again, he’d become a plumber instead of a scientist? Einstein may have been half joking in an attempt to hammer home some political commentary, but we choose to interpret this as one of the world’s greatest thinkers expressing respect for what is an often misunderstood profession; plumbing is much more complicated than it looks! We are glad Einstein stuck it out as a scientist though, as the theory of relativity is fairly important.
